note: Sitio Matti still evokes memories of the infamous "Digos massacre". Way back on June 25, 1989, during a Sunday Mass in the Chapel of the said village, about 40 individuals were mercilessly murdered by almost a hundred armed Maoist Communist Terrorists- New People’s Army, led by Benzar ( Armado Payot). A memory indelibly etched among the residents of the village.
